The little cat had suffered the amputation of her limbs after they found her in a frozen state. The emotional video.
The moving video is starring a cat named Dymka who was rescued last year in a town in Siberia called Novosibirsk. The cat had to be treated urgently to be in an advanced stage of freezing.
It all happened in the winter of Novosibirsk, when a woman found the cat unable to move and with a high degree of freezing. He was immediately transferred to a veterinarian who determined that his legs were very compromised, so the only way to save her was to amputate them.
A year after she was urgently assisted, the owner thought it was a good idea to implant prostheses so she could walk again. The operation was not easy and the animal had to remain hospitalized for several months, given the possibility that the body would reject its new artificial legs.
When the checks were finished, Dymka returned home and can now walk as he did before. Not only that, she also runs and can even play with the woman who saved her life and is now her new friend.
The prostheses were 3D printed, but it has its titanium interior. The novelty of the solution is that it is the first time that an intervention of this type is carried out on all limbs. Previously, a similar surgery had been performed, but only of some limbs.
In addition to the complete and novel surgery, before walking again, the cat had to undergo an intense rehabilitation process that lasted several months, where she learned to walk again with her artificial legs.
